01 / Intro

About me

I’m Mak. I’m 20, outgoing and a great communicator. I enjoy meeting new people, and outside work I’m usually skateboarding with friends, snowboarding or rock climbing. I love good food and spending time with my people.

I’m also into clothing, especially finding second-hand pieces with a bit of character. I love tracking down something different and helping friends find pieces that feel like them.

I like helping people and figuring out how things work. I enjoy getting to know people and building friendships along the way. I’m happy to be the beginner, ask questions and put in the time to learn something properly.

I’d love to work somewhere with good people who look out for each other. Somewhere I can learn, feel valued and make a real contribution.

When I’m not at work

  • Skating with mates
  • Chasing fresh snow
  • Climbing walls
  • Op-shop treasure hunts
  • Nature hikes

02 / The short version

Why me

  1. I turn up with a smile.

I work hard and I’m someone people can rely on. I’ve spent the past three years working across four jobs. At Watts Fresh, I was trusted to step up as 2IC and help newer staff find their feet. I enjoy getting to know the people I work with.

  2. I’m a sponge.

I’m curious about how things work and love learning from people who know their stuff. At Torpedo7, I learnt boot fitting and gear advice, and at Easy Store, I picked up screen printing. Give me something new to learn and I’ll get stuck in.

  3. I care about people.

Whether I’m helping someone on the shop floor or welcoming guests at House of Sol events, I want people to feel comfortable and looked after. I’m also RSA and first aid certified.

  4. Count on me.

I like being part of a team, and I’m comfortable getting on with a job on my own too. If someone needs a hand or something needs doing, I’m happy to help. I want to do my job well and make the day a little easier for the people around me.
